Input, Mappings & Controls

2.5.Touchpad #

NOTE: Touchpad is not yet supported in REM4P PC, it will be added in a future update

The Touchpad section allows you to simulate the Dualshock 4 Touchpad (shown below) using button mappings.

Adding a Touchpad Mapping

To add a new Touchpad mapping click the ‘Detect Input’ button on the Touchpad tab.

When the following prompt appears press the input you wish to bind to.

When an input has been selected it will show under ‘Device input’.

You can now configure the emulated touch using the settings under the ‘Touch input’ group.

Finger

The Touchpad supports up to 2 finger presses at one, here you can select to emulate either touch 1 or touch 2.

Start X

This is the beginning X offset of the touch or how far to the right across the Touchpad the touch will start. This can range from 0 – 1920.

Start Y

This is the beginning Y offset of the touch or how far up on the Touchpad the touch will start. This can range from 0 – 942.

Finish X

This is the end X offset of the touch so where the emulated touch will end on the X axis. This can range from 0 – 1920.

Finish Y

This is the end Y offset of the touch so where the emulated touch will end on the Y axis. This can range from 0 – 942.

Duration

This value controls how long the emulated touch will take to complete, this is measured in milliseconds (ms). This can range from 10 to 5000 (10 milliseconds to 5 seconds).

Loop

This checkbox controls whether the emulated touch will loop back to the start if the mapped button is still held down when the touch finishes. This can be used to emulate holding the Touchpad down whilst a mapped key is held.

With the above settings configured you can now click the ‘Add’ button to add the emulated touch to the config.

The new Touchpad mapping will be listed in the grid below.

Editing a Touchpad Mapping

To edit an existing Touchpad mapping simply highlight it in the grid so it looks like the following:

The input values and settings will then update to reflect the selected mapping.

Make the desired changes to these values then click the ‘Update’ button to apply and save the changes to the config.

Deleting a Axis Limit

To delete a Touchpad mapping highlight the row as when editing so it looks like the following:

The ‘Remove’ button will then be enabled, click this to remove the selected mapping from the config.

You can select multiple rows at once to remove several mappings in one go. The shortcut CTRL + A will highlight all mappings.
