2.1.Buttons #

The Buttons section allows you to assign any button or axis to a Dualshock 4 button.

 

Adding a Button Mapping

To add a new button mapping click the ‘Detect Input’ button on the Buttons tab.

When the following prompt appears press the input you wish to bind to.

When an input has been selected it will show under ‘Device input’.

You can now select the Dualshock button you wish to map to from the ‘DS4 Input’ drop down menu. The available options are:

  • cross
  • square
  • circle
  • triangle
  • left
  • right
  • up
  • down
  • share
  • options
  • PS
  • touchpad
  • l3
  • r3
  • l1
  • r1

If you input an axis then the ‘Axis Threshold’ box will be enabled, here you can set a value for when the axis will activate the Dualshock button. Values range from -128 to 128.

You can now click the ‘Add’ button to add the button mapping to the config.

The new mapping will be listed in the grid below.

 

 

Editing a Button Mapping

To edit an existing mapping simply highlight it in the grid so it looks like the following:

The current mapping values for ‘Device Input’, ‘DS4 Input’ and ‘Axis Threshold’ will then update to reflect the highlighted mapping.

Make the desired changes to these values then click the ‘Update’ button to apply and save the changes to the config.

 

 

Deleting a Button Mapping

To delete a button mapping highlight the row as when editing so it looks like the following:

The ‘Remove’ button will then be enabled, click this to remove the selected mapping from the config.

You can select multiple rows at once to remove several mappings in one go. The shortcut CTRL + A will highlight all mappings.
