I’ve had a lot of people ask me for help on finding the game keys so I put together a brief tutorial on the forums which should help anyone who is stuck.
The new Read/Write version of RPFTool is now available for public download.
Before asking a bunch of questions in the comments or over email please check the FAQ Here as it will most likely give you the answer.
Reiterating one of the more important parts of the FAQ the encryption keys for the games are NOT included, you will need to work these out by reverse engineering the default.xex for each game or wait until someone else provides them, anyway on to the download..
So after much debugging I’ve decided to remove the log in feature from RPF Tool. This is mainly due to the amount of people having issues logging in but also the the amount of maintenance this project requires which I just don’t have time for at the moment.
The latest version can be downloaded from the ‘RPF Tool Download’ tab at the top of the page.
Please be aware that you will still need an internet connection in order to open files as the application needs decryption keys from the server.
I’ll be working on making the update process a bit more user friendly now the log in screen has gone in the following weeks and maybe improve the decompression algo.
I’ve put a new release in the dropbox folder so anyone who had problems logging in should try again. I’d also like to use this post to remind people that you cannot log in from a different computer to the one you registered with. Changing any hardware will modify your UID and therefore stop you from logging in.
If your UID has changed drop me an email (use the email icon on the left side of the page) with your new one and I’ll update it for you.
For anyone who’s had problems logging in recently I’m working on resolving the issue, it seems to be a combination of connection issues between my server and certain countries and the lack of support for windows 8.
The Dropbox folder link on the signup page should now be fixed so for anyone who had problems signing up should try it again.
I finally got round to creating a signup form for RPF Tool which is now accessible using the link in the tabs above or by going REMOVED – RPFTool no longer requires an log in.
If anyone has any issues just leave a message below and I’ll look in to it.
I’ve just released a new update for RPF Tool, most of the changes were behind the scenes and wont be visible in the front end but anyone who’s had trouble logging previously should give it another go with the latest update (You’ll probably need to grab it from the dropbox folder as you wont be able to update through the program if you couldn’t log in.)
Another change a few people will be glad to hear is that I’ve added a resource extractor!
This is a work-in-progress and should be considered unstable at best so don’t be surprised if you use it and find it force closes RPF Tool. Its currently available under the ‘Tool’ section and is quite self explanatory – select a resource file, click unpack and save.
I haven’t yet incorporated this into ‘extract all’ due to the current instability but once that’s sorted I’ll add an option to decompress on extraction to save having to do this for each file.
